It all started trying to find a tasty, chili beef jerky that had flavour, texture & heat. With Carolina Reapers growing in my back yard, with 12 years at the top of the world as No.1 Hottest Chili. Beef jerky and Carolina Reapers were my inspiration. With a high tolerance to heat, I called a mate (who actually resembles a guinea pig) to test this beef jerky's heat. With eyes watering and diving for the yoghurt. With me being a hard Cat, told him the first thing that came to mind, 'YOUR A SOFT KOCK! Shortly then after... our slogan became 'If its too hot, you're a Soft Kock! In fact the jerky was too hot! The idea of a range of beef jerky for people who don't want a tasty snack without having a feeling like Satan spat in your mouth. We developed the 'Halfway Hot' (Medium) and 'Sweet Meat' (No Heat) varietys of beef jerky. The beginning of the creation of full flavoured; localy sourced Australian beef; artisian style beef jerky, In three flavours.
